I don’t even know what this means.

Since drinking espresso in several coffee shops in Paris a few weeks ago, I think I’m turning into a bit of a coffee snob.

The coffee at our local convenience store doesn’t even temp me any more.

I’ve traded in K-Cups and Folgers for freshly-ground beans and a french press (obnoxious, I know).

But, trying to buy coffee online has been interesting.

I’ve noticed a disturbing trend: the descriptions couldn’t be more confusing:

An elevated Kenya with uplifting brightness, balanced acidity, and signature notes of brambleberry fruit, mingled with black tea’s malty sweetness.

(what??)

A dimensional medium roast blend inspired by fall—notes of berry crisp and warm spice, with pops of juicy apricot and a touch of malty sweetness.

(those descriptions from the first 2 coffees on Peet’s website)

What the heck is “malty sweetness??”

I guess I’m not that big of a coffee snob yet.

LOL.

You see when we master our craft, we forget to talk about it like a normal person.

That’s why, as I’m prepping for next week’s Design Business Bootcamp, I’m using plain English.

No acronyms. No abbreviations. No techno-babble.

Just clear, concise conversation and implementation.

If you’ve ever felt confused by pricing your design packages and sending offer emails, I’ll lay it out in the most simple way you’ve ever seen.

Click here to grab a ticket; we start Monday, 9/23.
