Do you do your own stunts?

A Day In The Life | 0 comments

My wife and I finally watched The Fall Guy last night with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.

I thought it was good movie.

I grew up in the 70s, so I remember the original Fall Guy with Lee Majors.

I loved the show.

Colt Seavers was back.

The re-make had an interesting story line, but I was really entertained by all of the Easter eggs and references to the old, 70s series.

Stuntmen (and women) are still a vital part of action movies.

What I liked most about the Fall Guy movie was the way they portrayed the importance of these tough alternatives to the on-screen character they represent.

Because of the dangerous situations they are asked to stand in for, they are always at risk of physical harm.

They have to be physically prepared to endure some tough scenes.

Stuntmen are professionals that make the special effects magic possible.

Yet, you never hear their name called on any awards shows.

As a 9-to-5 employee back in the day, I kinda felt like the stuntman.

I was the guy with the skillset that got called to make things happen on a client project.

Many times in obscurity.

One of the things I love about being an independent business owner is I get to play the lead role in my own show (business).

I’m the one who works directly with my client to solve their business problem.

Like Tom Cruise, I do my own stunts.

There’s nothing wrong with being a stuntman, who makes someone else look good.

But, I’m excited to meet more and more designers who want to step out flip the script.

Designers who want to do their own stunts.

If you’re ready to step out, let’s chat.

I’ll show you how to safely take the leap.

You’re growing… even if no one sees it yet.

Doors open when you do this one thing…

In 1990, I got my first paid freelance gig.I was still in high school when a friend referred me to someone looking for a simple pencil sketch of a dove.It wasn’t a huge project — just a small illustration for a publication — but to me, it felt like the biggest...
