I got in a car with no driver…

A Day In The Life | 0 comments

Earlier this week, I was in Phoenix for a mastermind event.

It was exactly what I needed—time to recharge, reflect, plan, and hang with other business owners who just get it.

But the real surprise?

Wasn’t the strategy sessions or the brainstorms.

It was the driverless car that picked me up from my Airbnb and took me to the airport.

Yep. Just me… and the Waymo.

No driver. Just a quiet ride, cool music, and the feeling that I had officially entered the Jetsons era.

At first, I was hesitant.

What if it felt sketchy?

What if something went wrong?

Was I really about to get into a car with no human behind the wheel?

But then… I did it.

And honestly?

It was kind of magical.

Smooth. Safe. Easy.

Like the future had casually pulled up to the curb and said, “Hop in.”

It got me thinking—

So many of us are building businesses that are ahead of the curve.

We’re trying new things. Testing new models. Taking bold steps forward.

And yeah, it can feel weird at first.

But that’s what it feels like when you’re creating something the world hasn’t fully caught up to yet.

A little unfamiliar.

A little thrilling.

A little like riding in a car with no driver.

So if your business feels like it’s headed somewhere exciting but you’re not quite sure how it’ll all work out—

You’re probably on the right track.

Just because something feels new doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Sometimes it just means… you’re already in the future.

You’ve got this!

I want to hear from you!

My brain is finally starting to thaw out. The past couple of weeks in Kansas have been really cold. You might be able to relate. Our most recent 8-inch snowfall has almost melted completely. It's seems like Spring is right around the corner. Although we could still...

Learning from losing

The Super Bowl was hard for me to watch. Actually, as a KC Chiefs fan, the national anthem, the ads, the half-time show were all better than the game itself. Kudos to the Eagles. They outplayed KC the entire game. Winning is great. Losing isn't. But, our response to...
