My 52nd birthday bucket list event

A Day In The Life | 0 comments

I wrapped up another birthday last week.

Number 52.

It’s just a number, but as I get older, my birthday provides a great opportunity for reflection and gratitude.

My family and so many friends helped to make it a special day/week for me.

I was able to see each of my kids, including my precious granddaughter.

If I haven’t mentioned it before, my family is my #1 WHY for building a profitable design business.

Coincidentally, I experienced a bucket-list event as a part of my birthday week.

I was able to see Stryper (from the 4th row) on their 40th Anniversary tour.

I remember blasting this band on my home stereo cassette player in 1985.

Seeing Stryper live did not disappoint.

I had my camera with me and was able to take a few pics (view here on Facebook).

Oz Fox and Michael Sweet’s twin guitar solos were epic.

Michael Sweet’s vocals were amazing.

Robert Sweet’s double bass pedal was ferocious.

Missing from the show was the spandex, gratuitous eyeliner and hairspray.

For that, I also wasn’t disappointed. LOL.

The coolest part about the evening was, after 40 years, the band still loves writing songs and playing together.

How does it get better than that?

They spent their early years grinding and building a fan base.

And, today, they get to travel and play their music for their fans.

Not because they have to, but because they want you.

I feel the same way about my business.

The hard work spent in the early days, building up my business,

Has paved a way for me to be able to enjoy the work that I do for my clients.

And, my business is setup in such a way that my business lets me have fun being creative for my clients.

And still be profitable.

I want that for you.

Next week, I’m going to be offering a free workshop.

I’m going to go behind-the-scenes and show you the tools I use to…

  • Organize my business.
  • Keep track of my clients.
  • Create proposals.
  • Send out invoices.
  • Book appointments.
  • Measure my profitability.

Would you like more details?

In the meantime, keep putting in the work.
