Add some novocaine to your client proposals đź’‰

A Day In The Life | 0 comments

“I run 6 plays, split veer. like novocaine. Just give it time, it always works.”

— Coach Herman Boone, “Remember the Titans”

I no longer fuss about my proposals for client prospects.

Today, it takes me 10-15 minutes to create/send a proposal.

It’s not fancy—at all.

I’m usually one of the highest—if not THE highest—bid.

And, I close 95% of the proposals that I send.

My proposals work… they sell themselves.

Just like novocaine.

But, that wasn’t always the case.

I used to agonize over proposals I created for prospects.

I mean I spent hours creating masterpieces in Adobe InDesign.

I thought it mattered.

Worse yet, I was cutting my price so low those proposals.

Trying to attract the no-brainer “yes” from my clients.

I had some success, but it wasn’t predictable.

And, it certainly was NOT profitable.

Then, one day, I threw caution into the wind, and tried a new approach.

I raised my price and only took me 45 minutes (versus 3 hours).

It worked.

I tried it again the next proposal I sent.

Just to prove it wasn’t a fluke.

It worked again.

Wanna see how I raised my fees, increased my closure rate, and won the work in a fraction of the time?
