I love pulled-pork.
Check that.
I loved smoked meat, period.

I come by it honestly, what can I say.
A couple of years ago, my wife and kids bought me a smoker for father’s day.
Best-fathers-day-gift-ever!
I smoke regularly (meat, that is). I love ribs, especially. Yum!
But, occasionally, I’ll smoke a 10-lb. pork butt.
I mean, who doesn’t love pulled pork. LOL (especially if you need to feed 20+ people)
The trick with pulled pork though, it has a really long cook time.
Typically, 225 degrees F, for at least 10-13 hours.
Loooow and sloooow…
10-13 hours is a really long time to wait, especially if you’re hungry.
But, that’s just how it is. You can’t rush the process.
The meat has to slowly absorb the smoke and heat.
Over time, the magic happens…
And after about 12 hours, that fat cap has rendered and the pork literally falls apart.
Cue the bun, sauce, pickles and an angelic chorus.
When I started my business, I got frustrated when my business didn’t grow as fast as I wanted.
I thought I was doing something wrong.
I wasn’t, but I was learning the process.
Since then, I’ve learned my business has grown through the process of me learning, implementing and growing as a business owner.
Growing a business takes time, sometimes more time than we think.
But, if we stick to the plan and work the process, we’ll see the benefits.
So, if you’re frustrated with the way your business is growing, stay with it.
You can’t rush it.
Growth comes with time, dedication and persistence.
The end result is well worth the wait, trust me.
